For daily cleaning the simplest and preferred method is to wash the unit with clean water and dry with a soft cloth. If soil is still present after drying a non-abrasive neutral liquid soap (pH of 7 to 8) diluted with water and applied with soft sponges may be used. Do not use scouring pads, sharp instruments, or acid-based cleansers to clean the unit.
Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the labels of household cleaning products. To protect the finish of your enclosure you should only use products recommended for glass, anodized aluminum surfaces, stainless steel or plated brass by the manufacturer of the cleaning product. If in doubt contact the manufacturer of the cleaning product. Use of harsh cleansers or detergents not specifcally intended for these materials may damage your unit.
In environments with hard water, limescale can form over time. A solution of 15-20% vinegar diluted with hot water and soft cloth or sponge can be used and followed by normal washing. Never use detergents containing abrasive particles, pure or diluted muriatic acid, bleach (sodium hypochlorite), household acids, caustic soda, steel wool, scouring pads or scotch-brite.
Shower enclosures are not leak-proof and do not seal completely. They are designed to direct water to the interior of the tub or shower under normal conditions. Excessive water pressure or directing the shower head directly at the door can result in leaks.
All enclosures are intended to be installed by qualifed professionals with understanding of relevant material properties and site conditions.
